the good news
Have you ever heard the term "gospel" and wondered what it really means?
It simply means “good news”! And the good news of Jesus isn’t just a story from the past — it’s a message that can completely change your life right now and shape your future for eternity.
To help you understand this powerful message, we’ve broken it down into four simple parts.
Think of them as steps that lead to a deeper understanding of God’s incredible love and His plan for your life — both now and after this life is over.
As you read through these steps, our hope is that you’ll see why this really is the best news you’ll ever hear.
1 - THE PURPOSE
The most important truth you need to know is this: God sees you, knows you, and loves you deeply. You are not here by accident — He created you on purpose and for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10)
God isn’t a distant or angry judge; He’s a loving Father who wants a real relationship with you.
No matter what your past looks like or how others have treated you, God’s love for you is perfect and unchanging. And that love isn’t just for this life — He created you to spend eternity with Him.
2 - THE SEPARATION
But sin gets in the way!
Sin isn’t just a list of bad behaviours — it’s our inner desire to go our own way instead of following God. And because God is perfectly holy, sin creates a separation between us and Him — a gap we can’t fix on our own.
Left unresolved, this separation doesn’t just impact our life today — when we breathe our last breath here on the Earth, it leads to eternal separation from God.
3 - THE SOLUTION
But here’s the good news: God made a way.
Because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us.
Jesus lived a sinless life and then willingly died on the cross, taking the punishment for our sin. Three days later, by the power of the Holy Spirit, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death once and for all.
Jesus is the only one who could bridge the gap between us and God. Through Him, we can be forgiven, made new, and promised eternal life. He is the only way to the Father, and the only way to live forever with God when this life is over (see John 14:6).
4 - THE INVITATION
So, how do you respond to all of this?
The forgiveness and eternal life Jesus offers can’t be earned — it’s a free gift. But like any gift, it has to be received.
You do that by placing your faith in Jesus — believing that He is who He says He is, trusting in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrendering your life to Him as your Lord and Saviour.
When you say yes to Jesus, it’s not just the start of a new chapter — it’s the beginning of a whole new life.
One filled with purpose, freedom, hope, joy and peace. And best of all, it comes with the unshakable promise of eternity with God — forever in His presence, even after your time on earth is done.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. no one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
prayer of salvation
Heavenly Father,
I come to You today, just as I am.

I receive your love, and I thank you that You sent Your Son, Jesus,
to die on the cross for my sins.

I believe that You raised Him from the dead, so that I could be set free.

I open my heart and ask Jesus to come into my life as my Lord and Saviour.
Forgive me for my sins.
I believe that I am created by you, on purpose and for a purpose.
And today I choose to turn away from anything that doesn't honour You.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, guide me,
and help me live a life that pleases You, starting today.
Thank You for Your incredible love, for the gift of salvation, and my new life in You.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

If you've made a decision to follow Jesus by praying the prayer of salvation, we would love to hear from you and help you get started on this incredible journey.
